“Miss Magnolia” is an 11x14 oil painting on canvas, inspired by one of my best friends who allowed me to use her as a model for reference. When I began designing the piece and considering the color palette, yellow was the first color that came to mind — it represented her without question. She is soft, sweet, and beautifully feminine; her energy is warm, welcoming, and effortless to be around, making yellow the perfect choice.
I paired this with the magnolia flower, whose elegance and grace reflected her spirit. Together, they brought to life the delicate, feminine energy I had hoped to capture.
